This is Kael's first Halloween. He is basically 6 months. I can't believe how big he is! We dressed up as Alice, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit. Kael was the Rabbit of course. He was an adorable one too. I made our costumes. Well for Ammon's I mostly put it together and then made his hat, hair, and scarf. I made my dress and Kael's whole outfit except his hat. My favorite was the pocket watch, and the cute little feet I made. Oh the tail was cute also. Well it was all cute! He looked so stinkin cute! I was a bunny for my first Halloween! How funny!
On Tuesday before Halloweeen, my parents ward had a party and my family all went. It was a chilli cook off and trunk or treating (which we had to do inside) It was fun to show off my cute boy! Everyone commented on our costumes! :D Halloween fell on a Sunday this year so we celebrated it on Saturday. We woke up, got dressed in our costumes, took pictures, then we went to chik-fil-a with Josh, Steph, Kayden, Shalynn and Steve Bush. Then we all drove to Salt Lake for a Halloween thing they were doing at the Gallivan center. We got there and some men, who were probably high or drunk asked us for cigarettes. Uh.. we don't have any! They also kept saying "she looks cute" about Kael.. He is a Boy bunny! The White Rabbit is a BOY! Unfortunately we got there like 45 mins before it ended and it got really windy and cold suddenly. We only made a Halloween bag for Kael and then ran back into our cars. On our drive back, it rained and rained. We decided to go home, feed Kael and then head to Jaime and Cole's house for trick-or-treating. We got there around % and hung out with Sydney and Grady. While in the kitchen I heard Sydney say something or yell at Grady and I went into the room and she was holding up Kael and he was very upset. So upset that he couldn't even let out his cries until a while later. then he burst out bawling. It was sad. I guess Grady hit him with Sydney's crown. He calmed down and then I put him to sleep in Grady's room. Unfortunately right after I got him to sleep, everyone was ready to go trick-or-treating. We woke Kael up after only about 10 mins of sleep (I felt very bad) then we were off. We only got a few things for Kael.. It is not like he can eat the stuff anyway but there was one house that was decorated like a pirate ship and the lady was making homemade doughnuts and rootbeer. They say not to eat homemade stuff but this was a lady from my sister's church ward and she previously told her to come and get doughnuts at her house. It was fine! :D Then there was a house that was doing a fundraiser for a little girl with leukemia. They had cupcakes, caramel apples and other things. We got some kind of pumpkin cupcake. I didn't really like it but it was for a good cause. Then it started to sprinkle. Sydney and her friend wanted to keep going but we had to get back because Kael was wet with pee. We had just changed his diaper before we left but somehow it came out the side and my poor guy was wet and it was cold outside. So we ran back to Jaime's and when everyone got there, we watched the Corpse Bride and then were on our way back home. Hooray for Kael's first Halloween!
