Thanksgiving

We had a fun Thanksgiving. On Thursday, We went to my mom's and Jaime and Cole and the kids came for a little bit before leaving for Cole's family. We watched the parade. Sydney got to see Miley Cyrus and thought that was cool. My Grandma and Grandpa Ashby came over and we had our Thanksgiving meal with them, my parents, Kylie and Me and Ammon. It was very good! Then we relaxed and talked and then because we wanted to keep the tradition alive, we went to see BOLT. It was very cute! I loved it. When Ammon and I got home that night, I wanted to put up our Christmas stuff so bad so we did. We got our our tree and decorations and did it. I love Christmas. The next morning we got up around 4:30 to go shopping. Ammon wanted to sleep a few more hours but I was up so we went to Khols first. Mistake! It opened an hour earlier than we thought and the lines were long. there was nothing there good enough to wait for. Then we went to Wal-mart. We got a few things and got in what we thought was a short line that said 10 items or less so we figured it wouldn't be that bad. HA we saw that everyone in the line had over 100 items. I was very mad Wal-mart did not honor their 10 items or less line. I dropped Ammon off at Best Buy next while I went to Target. The line at Target went around the whole store. I was about to put my things down and leave when I heard a worker say that there were 18 cashiers and the line started moving, I decided to stay. It did not take near as long as Wal-mart. They honored their express lanes. I was very impressed. Ammon and I ended up taking a nap around 2:00 and we slept for about 2 hours. Then we went to my parents with Kylie and Tyler and we played the board gane cursed. Jaime and the kids were there so of course Sydney was trying to play. Then Jaim was going to leave and Sydney got so upset. She did not want to go. So we decided that she could spend the night at our apartment. She was very excited. everyone went to get food while sydney and I stayed home and Sydney said to me " This is so fun Katie, just me and you." So freaking cute! Sydney stayed up until about 11:20. We were watching Enchanted. She picked out 3 other movies we were going to watch after that. ha ha. We made a little bed for her with the many quilts we have and put her in our room so if she woke up, we could let her know it is okay before she got scared. She did not wake up until Ammon noticed she fell off the blankets and he wanted to move her back on the bed. He carefully picked her up and she opened her eyes and was looking around kinda freaked out. Ammon just said "It's okay sweetheart" and then Sydney said "okay" and fell right back to sleep. It was the cutest thing. When Ammon and I woke up, Sydney was still asleep. We were looking at her and talking about how she moves all over the place and Sydney opened her eyes and then had the biggest smile on her face. I have never seen her wake up like that (I only see her when she wakes up from naps). She was so cute. Then we had breakfast and brought her to my parents. We then went to Ammon's sister D'lene's house and had a Thanksgiving/ birthday party. It was her twins birthday. they turned two. We forgot our camera! So dumb! Then on our way home, we went to see the Lights at the temple with Jaime, Cole and the kids. It is funny because when we driving syney to our apartments, she was looking at all the lights on the houses saying how pretty. So I told her we need to go see the temple lights and then she started talking about how she is going to marry Conner when she turns four. Cole came up with the idea and it was fun. Grady was so funny. When he heard water he freaked out. He wanted to jump in. When I was holding him, near water I thought he was going to push through my arms and in but onnly his binky fell in. It was funny though. That was our Thanksgiving... :D
